Oak Creek, CO

Tucked away in the lush and fertile lands of Yampa Valley, this idyllic Northwest Colorado town just outside of Steamboat Springs was built by generations of ranching families and transplants from all over the United States.

The quiet but thriving downtown area is lined with a selection of mom and pop stores and eateries. At Stagecoach State Park, meanwhile, elk, trout, and other wildlife populate the town’s most famous recreational facility.

Oak Creek’s undulating roads are a popular stop on biking tours, while its well- maintained parks are filled with picnic-goers.

Needless to say, Oak Creek is as well-rounded as it gets, providing residents with enough amenities, community events, and natural resources to keep them comfortable, connected, and engaged.

Like most towns in the West, the town’s history is shaped by ranching, mining, and railroad construction, with families from across the US coming to Oak Creek to take advantage of the mining boom.
